NAUMS is the National Association of University-Model® Schools and the concept originated in Texas in 1992.  Today, they are still growing and spreading their unique model by offering parents an alternative to standard education. 

At a University-Model® School the families and school partner together in the academic and spiritual environment by having classes 3 days a week at the Main Campus and 2 days a week at the Home/Satellite Campus.   For Starboard our Main Campus days are Monday, Tuesday & Thursday while our Home/Satellite days are Wednesday & Friday.  Starboard teachers and staff provide parents with the necessary support to ensure successful learning at home.
